Intracoronary Imaging of Proximal Coronary Artery Lesions – A Nationwide Lesion-Level Analysis From SCAAR

چکیده
BackgroundCurrent evidence suggests that use of intracoronary imaging during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) the left main artery (LMCA) reduces mortality. However, there is a scarcity data on overall role imaging, particularly in other non-LMCA proximal lesions. We aimed to investigate association outcome lesions treated with PCI.MethodsThe Swedish Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty Registry was used identify all stent implantation between June 11, 2013, January 16, 2021. Proximal (LMCA, anterior descending artery, circumflex right artery) assessed by before and/or after were matched control based angiography alone using propensity score matching. The primary end point target lesion revascularization PCI, secondary points included all-cause mortality definite thrombosis within 3 years.ResultsAmong 3623 pairs, associated significantly lower risk revascularization, 3.7% vs 4.7%; hazard ratio (HR), 0.77; 95% CI, 0.61-0.97; P = .025, mortality, 9.1% 12.8%; HR, 0.70; 0.61-0.81; < .001, no difference thrombosis.ConclusionsThe rates repeat better survival. results appear be primarily driven improved LMCA These reinforce assessing treating

Coronary Artery Bifurcation Lesions; A Review and a Guide for Specific Interventional Techniques
Percutaneous coronary intervention in the setting of coronary bifurcation lesions is associated with increased risk for complications. The goal of this manuscript is to review the currently available classifications for coronary artery bifurcation lesions with a guide to the use of specific coronary bifurcation techniques based on lesion characteristics

Atherothrombotic is a systemic disease of the coronary vessel wall that causes coronary artery lesions appearing heterogeneous in morphology and chemical constitution. Disrupting or vulnerable plaques in the coronary arteries exhibit a thin fibrous cap (fibrous cap thickness 65 to 150 μm) with a large lipid core, as defined by American Heart Association AHA plaque type V-Va [1]. Acute coronary ...
متن کاملNew parameters in identification of right ventricular myocardial infarction and proximal right coronary artery lesion.
OBJECTIVE The diagnosis of right ventricular myocardial infarction (RVMI) accompanied by acute inferior myocardial infarction (MI) is still a problem that we encounter. This study was designed to find out the usefulness both of peak myocardial systolic velocity (Sm) and of the myocardial performance index (MPI) of the right ventricle measured by pulsed-wave tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) in asses...
